Moody Philadelphia Wedding at Bryn Gweled Homestead

This was a fun one. Shaina and Jordan are so sweet and so in love, not to mention they are cool as sh*t and have great style. If it's not glaringly obvious, this wedding was VERY much my style. I knew from their moody engagement session at New Hope Railroad that I was in for a treat on their wedding day. When I say that these two were one of the most laid-back couples I have ever worked with, I mean it. They just let me do my thing all day and it was glorious. Shaina looked stunning in her lace wedding dress from L&H Bridal which perfectly showcased all of her awesome tattoos. Also, give me a bride in black boots any day. Jordan's look also included black boots and I always love a suspender in lieu of a jacket. These two killed it and together with their gorgeous florals from Folklore Florals, they had one of my favorite bridal couple looks to date.

When I first spoke to Shaina, she described her vision as a moody wedding in the middle of the woods. Say no more. This was my first time shooting at Bryn Gweled Homestead and I fell in love with it. It offers a sprawling scenic backdrop of fields and tall pines along with a perfectly placed ceremony location in the woods. I mean, come on! We all know I am a sucker for a wooded ceremony, especially one with a triangular arch haha. It doesn't hurt that there was also a cool old barn and a gorgeous stone building equipped with a pretty staircase. You don't need much to dress up this beautiful venue. Shaina and Jordan's vision included lots of greenery and vines and it worked so well. Inside their tent reception the tables were covered with vines, candelabras with black candles and gold accents (always a nice touch). Speaking of their reception, there were a few moments that really stood out. Shaina & her Dad got down for their father/daughter dance and it was delightful. She then gave a speech and surprised her Mom with a mother/daughter dance and it was so incredibly sweet! (Side note to my daughters: DO THIS FOR ME! I want a dance too!) Lastly, the dancing! I cannot express how happy it makes me to see BOTH my bride and groom on the dance floor. Shaina and Jordan had such a blast and so did I capturing this dance floor (seriously, just scroll to the bottom).

Overall, this wedding will always be one of my favorites. Congratulations, Shaina & Jordan.
