Artsy alternative wedding at the Knowlton

Not every love story belongs in a ballroom. Some demand walls covered in murals, and a space that feels more like an art piece than a venue. That’s exactly what this wedding at The Knowlton was — a piece of art. The gallery itself couldn’t have been a better backdrop. All of the different artworks provided an array of beautiful backgrounds for Meg & Lyle's portraits. I was in heaven. This day wasn’t about tradition—it was about celebrating this couple and doing it their way.

Every detail had a vibe that leaned into the alternative. Their centerpiece vases & mug favors were all handmade by one of their guests, Trevor Youngberg. They were remarkable and gorgeous. In addition to the unique aesthetic, these two hired a musical performer named Myles who did an amazing job and put on a show that all of the guests (including myself) absolutely loved.

This wedding wasn’t soft or polished. It was creative and unique. And I am so glad I got to capture it.
