Some weddings just feel easy from the start, and Britt and Jake’s was exactly that.

I met Britt and Jake through my neighbor, so I would see them around town and felt like we were already friends by the time their wedding arrived. These two were the sweetest, laid-back couple. I am really glad I got the chance to celebrate their wedding with them.

In the morning, Britt got ready with her ladies in the Garden Cottage Suite at the Glasbern Inn. She wore a beautiful lace dress from Silk Bridal Easton with a truly gorgeous scalloped lace train. Jake, who wore his hair in a french braid that I was obsessed with, wore a suit that was custom-made for him by Brenda McGuire. Tie in their colorful florals from Rich Mar Florist and these two were a VIBE.

Britt and Jake decided to keep their wedding relatively small with a large reception a couple of days later. By doing this, they were simply there, enjoying it as it happened—spending time with their people and making the most of their day. They were incredibly easy to photograph. They are the kind of couple that does not need much direction because they are already comfortable just being together. One of the main reasons they chose Glasbern was its lovely natural setting, including a wall made of giant rocks. Needless to say, we had to get photos on the rocks (these actually ended up being my favorites). One of the more personal details from the day was their favors, which were rocks they had found together on their past excursions. They were a unique touch that perfectly represented these two.

Overall, this was such a fun day that felt natural from beginning to end. Congrats, Britt & Jake!
