A dinosaur Museum Wedding

Some weddings just stick with you forever, and this one absolutely will. Sam & Rachel got married at The Academy of Natural Sciences surrounded by dinosaur exhibits, incredible displays, and honestly some of the coolest wedding details I’ve ever seen. It felt equal parts elegant dinner party, natural history museum fever dream, and rock collector heaven — in the best possible way.

Sam and Rachel wanted their wedding day to reflect their interests. As self-proclaimed nerds, a museum wedding was the perfect setting for their vision. The amount of love these two poured into their wedding was amazing. The tables were covered in custom rock table numbers, textured stone chargers, candles, patterned linens and plates, and layered details. It all came together thanks to Dani at Deevents who did an amazing job coordinating all of the behind-the-scenes chaos. The florals also played a big part in completely transforming the museum space. And I mean this genuinely: the floral installation was one of the craziest setups I’ve ever photographed.

But beyond all the details, these two were just sweet. The kind of couple that makes the whole day feel easy. They spent the entire wedding laughing, hanging onto each other, and soaking everything in instead of stressing about timelines or perfection. This was in large part thanks to Dani at Deevents, she rocks. The vibe was relaxed, emotional, a little moody, and completely them.

Also… getting to sneak away for portraits with literal dinosaurs in the background? Unreal. The mix of elegant florals and giant prehistoric skeletons somehow worked perfectly and made everything feel even more cinematic.

This wedding was proof that you really can throw tradition out the window and create something personal, unique, beautiful, and unforgettable all at once. Honestly, I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time. Congrats, Sam & Rachel!
