Catalpa Grove at Lakewood Park wedding
Anyone who knows me knows I love all things spooky. One of my favorite fall things to do is go to the Haunt nights at a local amusement park where workers are dressed to the nines in scary costumes and mess with the guests. When I found out that Ashley & Nick both work at the Haunt and their love story actually began there, I knew this was going to be my kind of wedding.
This was my first time shooting at Catalpa Grove at Lakewood Park and I could not have been more thrilled. This venue offered the perfect woodsy/moody vibe for this fall wedding.
The warm orange/pink/peach color palette was really pretty against the deep maroon of bridesmaids' dresses. The ladies all looked stunning thanks to Makeup by Roxy who always kills it. Speaking of the wedding party, this was quite a lively bunch. The non-traditional flower men were a riot, throwing flowers and custom t-shitrts while dancing down the aisle. To say they were a delight would be an understatement. Ashley & Nick had so many unique touches that made the day feel very light and fun. Instead of cutting a cake, they sliced up a pizza. The coffee bar was stocked with Halloween-themed coffee cups and sleeves. They literally moshed at the reception. These two perfectly combined a beautiful fall wedding with little nods to their spooky nature and I was here for it. One of my favorite weddings to date!
